I love flower essences.

When I decided it was time to tackle my cPTSD from childhood abuse, it was flower essences that made the impact. I began my studies with Sara Crow for flower essences, now no longer teaching, and it took off from there.

They continue to be on the tea cabinet to be grabbed easily to this day. Shoot, even before coming into town to write them I took Borage and Radiant Spider Lily flower essences.

Flower essences work on a vibrational level, which everything in life is some form of vibration. We talk about high vibes and low vibes. Sound frequencies are vibrations.

Flowers all have different vibrations and water can keep those vibrations for us.

This is what flower essences are.

Water capturing flower vibrations with sunlight (or moonlight) and helping us with mental and emotional wellbeing.

The hardest part about flower essences? Understanding what flower to use when. But if you are working on plant communication (mentioned earlier this month), you will begin to listen and then we have attunement practices to really help us connect.

To make a flower essence - gently pick the flowers of the plant you are working with and place in good water. I use rain water. Tap water will work but I find it more energetically dead (and not neutral) but it could just be my tap water. River water, bottled water…melted glacier…just good water.
